Cash for Clunkers program update

For those thinking they would wait until the mobs thinned out to get their share of the $1 Billion cash for clunkers program, so sorry. You are too late.
Yes, I know you are saying, the program just started last week how can I be too late?
The fact is that many auto dealers were talking up the program for the last month and had clients preapproved, just waiting for the official start date of the cash for clunkers program. Therefore, those who planned ahead zoomed in and got their free government money for driving an inefficient vehicle.
The skeptics who did not believe it would happen or those of you who were on the fence about trading in a paid off vehicle with low gas mileage for a new vehicle with better gas mileage and payments, have missed your window of opportunity.
And yes, the number was $1 BILLION that was removed from the treasury to allow other taxpayers to upgrade their vehicles.
So sorry you missed out. The current rumor says the government is looking at passing yet another bill to put more money into the cash for clunkers program. We will have to wait and see if that occurs.
For now at least it is good bye Cash for clunkers program.
